Regret is a seed. The more you focus on it the more it is nourished. Before you know it Regret bears Fruit. Everything you could have focused on while worrying about your old regrets is now in a new seed of Regret. If you don’t ever let go of your feelings your brain is doomed to become a Garden of Regrets. Wherein the Old Regrets nourish the new in a cycle that only ends when you die afraid and unhappy having felt you never lived because you didn’t. You existed only as a breeding ground of Regret, too scared to look back and learn from your mistakes, and too scared to move past them. So you lived dreaming only of ‘What if?’ waiting for the universe to hand you change on a silver platter. But that change never comes. Because the world owes you nothing. Only you can change yourself. A Garden of Regrets can be culled and replaced with seeds of hope. Remove the old dead regrets and let the seed bloom into flowers of love and growth. Nourished by self acceptance and self understanding, unfettered by self blame and victimhood, the flowers become the fruit of change. A mind that is a garden of change is a mind that is truly free.
