Isn't knowledge of God just an astronomy of hearts?
Who here can Look up and list all the stars,

And peer into the eyes of the thousand flaming gods
Each light like a pendant for the lost.

This horizon moves to guide long shadows in the dark,
A penance for the Atlas that holds up all the art.

Catch it like a penchant, then make myself a charm
I call out to the pond, “anyone here alarmed?

Who cries for the children,
When their lips and nose are gone?"

No calls are sound, dreamt I dripped along
A dot on a thread so very long

Imagine if water wept
Everytime it spilled.

Imagine if bad men bled
Everytime they killed.

Would lakes never dry,
Would the world stand still,

Would wars up and end,
Would more men be killed,

Would lakes never dry,
Would oceans overfill,

I call out to the pond,
“Anyone here alarmed?

Who cries for the children,
When Mothers are pulled from arms?”

A dreamer slept with freedom,
Only to wake up in this real world.

Estuary smiles shine the milky river in the dark
Each dot of light is a love hid inside of waterfalls.

Watch them all burn,
Candles in a world so dark.

Isn’t knowledge of Love just an astronomy of hearts?
Who here can look up and list all the stars?

That chart of all our lives
So close, yet still so unattainable.

Unique to every birth,
A painting unimaginable.

Even if we know Love and God,
We cannot change our stars.
